What I'm doing now

A snapshot of where my attention is. The present tense, not the highlight reel. Updated May 2026.

verify-kit — a scaffold where one command, just verify, is ground truth for humans, CI, and coding agents
writing — build logs and teardowns from recent projects
this site — hand-built, always half-rebuilt; the project that is never quite done

# May 2026 — Paris in spring. The coffee is still excellent and the GPUs are still rented.
// Building
Most of my hours go to verify-kit, a project scaffold built on one rule: if a feature can't answer “how does a human verify this, and how does an agent verify this?” then it isn't done. Alongside it, a steady drip of weekend builds and this site.
// Learning & reading
Re-reading Sutton & Barto for the third time. RL keeps rewarding the return visit. In parallel: the AI-safety and interpretability literature, and whatever arrives in the agentic-systems space each week. Lately I've been chasing the gap between plausible model output and verifiable model output; it's the throughline across most of what I build.
// Away from the keyboard
Settling into Paris — walking more of it than is strictly efficient, working through the café map one espresso at a time, and trying to keep the French verbs in the present tense as stubbornly as this page is.

This is a /now page, a public answer to “what are you focused on at this point in your life?”, refreshed when the answer changes. Curious what I've shipped? See the projects →
